Song Sparrow : an aggressive call while feeding

This low grating call was made by a Song Sparrow feeding with White-throated Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos. The bird stopped calling when feeding alone, but resumed whenever other birds arrived, suggesting that it is some sort of inter-specific threat call.
